Smash Bros. Characters

I began wondering, we have all these characters from the greastest Nintendo series. Yet we haven't got one orginal character from the Smash universe (Giga Bowser in Brawl is an execption; you'll see why later.) selectable for a battle without cheating.

While Giga Bowser is playable in Brawl, he himself is not selectable. He's Bowser's Final Smash (who didn't see that coming).

So why do you think this hasn't happened and/or make up your own characters maybe?

the game is about nintendo all-stars, which means nintendo characters from popular games. Brawl is a way for all nintendo (and now other games) to join together and battle. It's not a game that is supposed to introduce new characters

It wouldn't really make sense to add a character that was only established in the Super Smash Brothers Series, and nowhere else. SSB to me is bringing all Nintendo characters (and some 3rd party guests) to battle it out. I see SBB as a vessal in order to do that.

Um, that would be because the entire point of the SSB series is to bring characters from Nintendo's other series together for a fighting game. Creating new PCs just for the game rather than incorporating more characters from those other series would be counter-productive to that goal.

No he isn't, his moveset is just based on an enemy from Kirby Superstar, which is a game that game influence over ALL the Smash series BTW

No, it's the other way around.
Master Hand appeared in Smash first, then made a guest appearance in the Kirby games.
I think Crazy Hand did too, right?

Anyway, there was a thread named "Mr. Brawl", who is basically a character specifically made for Smash Bros. Brawl. You should go check the thread out!

yeah i just checked it and realized i was wrong. Master hand was a boss in a kirby game after the release of ssb

The Master had is heavily based off of that one Golem Boss in Kirby Superstar. I should of added "as a playable character" to clear things up.

Yes, that's what I mean...If any Smash got any playable character, it would have to be Master Hand...though I don't really see that working.

:/ I really don't remember what he looked liked; I just know that he had a very similar model to the Master Hand in SSB.

I think that Brawl adding their own enemies opens a path for a Brawl-only character. Many people seem to have forgoten that Super Smash Bros. is a game too, and needs a represenative. I don't think Master Hand is a possibility due to the fact that he floats making jumps look strange, he is huge, and his attacks seem a little too powerful. I do believe that the Ancient Minister has a possibility of making it in Brawl though.

I don't think people have forgotten that SSB is a game; it's just the fact that it's really just a vessal for other characters from other Nintendo franchises to battle it out in.

I really think it's way to early to be talking about the Ancient Minister seeing as we don't know anything about him (battle wise; if he even battles at all).

Granted I'm not saying that a Smash only playable character is impossible. I just find it to be very unlikely.
