So I've been wanting to create videos for Smash for a while, I've got some good ideas that I want to share with the community, and something is stopping me and I want to do more research before I get into any legal troubles.

What has been stopping me is Nintendo and their policies, I want to have a Smash YouTube channel, and eventually grow larger and be able to do it as a "job" like plenty of other YouTubers. What steps do I take in order to make this dream real? I've been reading that Smash Bros. is excluded from their Content Creator's Program, and things like that, and being the clueless newbie I am at YouTube policies etc, I am at a loss as to what I do in order to actually start being able to do what I want, and not get punished for it.

What do I have to do in order to be allowed to monetize Smash videos and create my content legally, and efficiently?

well making smash videos on youtube is ok, I never seen anyone get their smash videos removed, unless they use some copyrighted song, but other than that, you should be good. If you are still too worried, try to join a partnership thing that involves gaming. Other than that, you should be good.

I'd advise you not to do this because you want to make money. Do it because you enjoy it and money can eventually come. It can be a long grind (speaking from personal experience with other games/content I've made) and it can be very rewarding in the end, but it can take years before you see a notable amount of money. And by that point, if you're not enjoying it, you're going to have a hell of a time making content. As far as the policies Smash have, I can't help ya there. Best of luck!

Its not for money, I do want to do it as a hobby and for fun. Its just expected that if I enable the monetization, money comes into play. I'm only making sure.

Have you heard of the nintendo creator's programm? I guess you have to use that to monetize nintendo games. Could be wrong, don't have anything monetized at the moment.

Content Creators Program doesn't have Smash Bros in the terms. I have heard of it, but Smash isn't on the "legal" listings.
