I don't recall any time Nintendo has ever done a pre-download. When Animal Crossing came out it just straight up downloaded and that was that.

I'd say I'm about 1/3 of the way downloaded, it looks like it'll take an hour or so (I don't know the exact time I started, probably like 15 minutes ago)

eshop understandably being hit hard, it kicked me off already with an error but was able to get back to downloading quickly.

Yeah it's all a bit strange. I've been buying release game on the japanese eShop before and it NEVER releases before midnight in Japan. Well, gives me more time to play today so no problems!

Ah! I just woke up and threw myself out of bed. I'd have been so upset if I only checked at 11 est.

My download speed is pretty steady. A little over 50% finished already, and no errors so far. Of course, I'm in Japan so experiences may vary.

I'm shocked- it's only been six minutes and my download is already at least 1/8 of the way there. I'm on a college campus that's sure to have a bunch of server problems, but so far so good.

That makes you a much better person than myself- I would have had a debate in my head whether or not to tell everyone because it could slow down my speed XD

Holy smokes, my download is almost halfway done and I only started 12 minutes ago! For a campus that has trouble loading YouTube videos, it's doing an excellent job at the moment.

Edit: Oh, my gosh, it's there! My download only took 30 minutes!!!
