We've all wondered it at one point in the speculation, and there have been minor hints such as Diddy kong using two penut pop guns at the same time (I know I'm over speculating but humor me) but can a smash ball or final smash be in the SSE in some way, shape or form? thats why we're here

Or it could be like Shiek in Melee where you could transform before you start in 1P mode (Classic and Adventure I think..).

I think that'll be done via Samus's story, i.e. she'll be Zamus for a while and then at some point don her power suit/perform a one-shot final smash.

I suspect that one of the two following situations will occur:

either

A) In SSE, there are stages that are just straight up battles (akin to many of the battles in Adventure Mode of Melee) on regular stages - these could easily incorporate Final Smashes.

or

B) In SSE, there will be a crucial point (or points) in the story where Final Smashes are achievable in order to increase the dramatic tension of the story - as the stakes grow higher, the special moves grow grander and stronger! Maybe the Smash Ball will even factor into the story somehow.

Maybe smashballs in bosses, it would be hard to do army FS like Dedede or Pit on the side scroler stages

considering the layout and peach's final smash i highly doubt it. maybe during fights with like bowser or bosses but i doubt it thats why there is sticker power ups i bet
