Okay, I have been here for a while posted a lot, but this may be my first major contributation to the boards.
Melee came out six years ago. Since then, it has become one of the most played games of all time, pratically started the game tournament scene, and thousands of techs have been discovered. If anyone wants any information on Melee, it's ready to be seen, including how to unlock people, e.t.c.
This comfort will not be here for Brawl. We will have to find out how to unlock people ourselfs.
Now, the Brawl launch is different from the Melee launch, in that a lot more people anticipate this game. Part of why Melee grew so slow was that there was almost nobody here compared to now. A lot of newbs are here now, including me (I joined in June).
We (the board) need people to do certain things. WE MAY HAVE NO REAL WAY TO KNOW HOW MANY CHARACTERS ARE IN BRAWL. So we need people to get into the game as quickly as possible so that the others can find out, and things will be easier.
Obviously, no game is glitch/exploit proof, so there are bound to be some techs. I know, the demo, but that thing is incomplete. There may be some new ones.
There are many things that you can do to help. I will have a lot of time on my hands when Brawl comes out, so I will record how to unlock different people. Anyone else can do that, too, because that's probably not the only thing I'm doing.
And also, this isn't just for the board. If you discover something big (as big as wavedashing, or bigger), there's no telling how famous you could get around here.
There are almost unlimited things you could do. The smallest thing (finding a good way to play in Special Brawl) could help.
When Brawl comes out, I will have a seperate thread to post things in. I'm hoping that this will become a big thread and everyone will be helped.
P.S. If you want to figure out everything on your own, just don't go to the findings thread next year.

Everything will be revealed when Japan gets its hands on the game a couple of weeks before we do.

I wish we could import games...oh well. Still, screw the unlocking thing. If anyone here is Japanese, they will tell us. Anyway, still...the techs will need finding out...

There is no need for us to search for secret characters or trophies or techniques.

That's what the Japanese are for.

And break! Let's see some hustle out there, team!

Sorry, not trying to make fun of you or nothing, just made me think of a football coach all of a sudden. anyway, you can count on me for finding out unlockable characters. Unless, of course, Sonic's a starter.

Over there
I'll do everything in my power to find out stuff when i get the game but one question: If we find a new advanced technique, do the discoverers get to name it? I'll never find one, but I'm just curious.
