Hi all, I've gotten my netplay to work on my macbook air but it is very laggy compared to the console. Input lag especially. Feels like an HDTV, a good half second delay.

What's your setup for playing online that mimics the console better? Are there settings that I can play with to improve my performance, or start toward building a suitable setup?

I'm an apartment dweller with limited space, can't go out and get a CRT monitor or anything like that.

Real new to this, but hoping to get better!

Thanks!

We are missing some key information.

Where do you live? What server are you connecting to? If you are in California, for example, and try to play on the New York server, you will have a lot of input delay. If it's laggy, as in the FPS dips below 60fps a lot, that is either your Internet not being good enough, roommates/family using the Internet, or you are playing on wi-fi, which is a huge no. If you are on wi-fi, switch to ethernet.

If everything is fine (no fps lag, good internet, no family/roommates causing you lag, etc), then that is just how it is for console players to play online. It might take a while before you get used to it.
