HOW DO I TECH?!: A House Tourney
HOW DO I TECH?! is an open house Smash 4 Wii U tournament being held in an actual home.
Located at 5613 Carol Avenue, Indian Trail (brick house at top of the hill)

- Large living room where most sets will be played, plenty of room for a decent amount of setups plus breathing room.
- Bowls of snacks such as chex-mix, Fritos, M&Ms, etc. will be around, but there will be an intermission for meals.
House Fee - $2 (covers cost of power strips, tables, and whatever house belongings may inevitably break)
HOUSE FEE WILL BE WAVED FOR THE FIRST 3 PLAYERS WHO BRING A SETUP. We have a few, but the more the merrier. After the third you can still bring yours in, but your house fee will not be waved.
EVENTS:
- Smash 4 Singles ($5 Entry Fee) - Payout 1st/2nd/3rd - 60%/30%/10%
- Smash 4 Doubles ($5 Entry Fee per player) - Payout 1st/2nd/3rd - 60%/30%/10%
- Smash 4 Low-Tier* ($1 Entry Fee) - Payout 1st - 100%
SCHEDULE:
- 11 AM: Doors open. Registration**, Friendlies, Socialization, etc.
- 12 PM: Doubles bracket begins.
- ~1:30/End of Doubles: Lunch Intermission***
- ~2:30: Singles bracket begins.
- ~4:30: Low-Tier Bracket begins.
RULESET: (Singles) (Low-Tier)
- Game Settings: 2 Stock, 6 Minute Time Limit, Custom Moves Off, Items Off, Equipment Off, Handicap Off, Pause Off, Damage Ratio 100%, 2/3 Games, Grand Finals 3/5
- Mii Fighters On (1-1-1-1 Default Miis)
- Starter Stages: Battlefield (Miiverse), Final Destination, Lylat Cruise, Smashville, Town & City
- Counterpick Stages: Dream Land 64, Duck Hunt
- All Omega stages are banned.
- First stage is decided by (Rock Paper Scissors) best of 1. Winner strikes, then loser strikes twice, then winner. (1-2-2-1)
- Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.
- Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
- You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.
- Sudden Death with a tied percentage/stock count will NOT determine the outcome of a tied game. A playoff match with 1 stock/2 minutes will determine the winner.
- Game Settings: 3 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, Custom Moves Off, Items Off, Equipment Off, Handicap Off, Pause Off, Damage Ratio 100%, 2/3 Games, Grand Finals 3/5

**Registration for each event is open from the time doors open all the way up until said event begins. For instance, if singles begin at 2:30, you will have had from the time you arrived till 2:29 to register.
***Lunch Intermission: Although snacks will be present, if you wish to have an actual meal, you will be responsible for it. After the completion of Doubles Bracket, a one-hour intermission will take place. At this time you may leave to eat/bring your food back to the house. You may leave to get your food whenever you want, but we recommend you do so during this period to ensure you do not miss your matches. Restaurants in the area include Cookout (#1 on Hungrybox's fast food tier list), Popeye's, Chick-Fil-A, Taco Bell, Bojangles, Wendy's, Burger King, Panera Bread, Subway, Hardee's and a few more.
