Atlantic North Smash 4 @ CFAS Wednesday Night Strikes

We at D.C. eSports have been running weekly events alongside the typical FGC crowd at the CFAS Wednesday Night Strikes weekly gatherings at Hard Times Cafe in Manassas, VA. It's started of small, but we've been able to grow it to a decent sized weekly with some of the best talent in northern VA showing up regularly. Come on out and get better with us!

The tournament is for Smash 4 on Wii U, however we usually have a Melee and Project M set up there for friendlies!

Rules

Double-elimination tournament.
Each match is Best of 3 with the exception of Winners Finals, Losers Finals, and Grand Finals, which are Best of 5.
2 stocks, 6 minutes (For doubles, 3 stock, 8 minutes)
1 stage ban.
Allowed Mii Movesets - Brawler: 3122; Swordsman: 1231; Gunner: 3111
No other Mii movesets or custom moves for any other character are allowed.

Counterpicks

• Dreamland 64
• Duck Hunt

* During counterpick phase, Miiverse can be substituted for Battlefield. If Battlefield is banned, Miiverse is automatically banned (and vice versa).
** Omega stages are legal during counterpick phase. If Final Destination is banned, all Omega stages are banned (and vice versa).

The internet at the venue isn't sufficient to have a stream, however we do record matches throughout the tournament and post them up on our YouTube channel.

Update OP. Tomorrow's event has been unfortunately canceled. We have just been made aware that the venue was double booked for tomorrow night, and we were pushed out for the night. The other FGC guys will be there on Thursday, however out of good conscience, we will not run a tournament over another weekly.

We are indeed still on for tonight! We'll be rocking the previous patch 1.1.3 since the new patch has not been released yet, but if becomes available while we're at Hard Times tonight, we'll try and use their wi-fi to update some friendlies setups after the tournament!

We had 40 people show up last Wednesday, can we break that number tonight? Lots of people on Spring Break, and a few more in town for Pound this weekend! Look forward to seeing you all there!

It's the first week of the month, therefore this Wednesday is DOUBLES night!

Because it's doubles night, the tournament typically runs a bit faster, which means we should have more time...for a Pokken (Tournament) Tournament!

We've changed up the stage list slightly to match what CEO and EVO are running: Lylat Cruise is now a starter, Dreamland 64 is now a counter-pick.

We regret to inform everyone that we will no longer be hosting CFAS Wednesday Night Fights at Hard Times Café in Manassas, VA effective immediately.

We're working hard on finding a new place to host, and will keep you guys updated as soon as we are able to find a new venue. Until then, make sure you guys check out the other events in the area!
