Smash 4 Announcer

I might be late with this thread but I can't find anyone else talking about this. Does anyone like the new announcer for when you select the characters? He isn't as trying hard to be epic like brawls announcer but not as Metal as the Melee announcer. I really like it but the way he says toon link makes me want to puke though.

I don't like him as much as the previous two announcers. Melee's announcer was my favorite one because that game oh so dear to my heart, and I think he did the best job in general. Brawl's was fine. Melee was the second game I ever played so maybe I'm biased when I say that announcer is my favorite. I thought the brawl announcer was like some fat opera singer that walked into a cage fighting arena trying to pump everybody up. Also if this games title screen doesn't scream" SUPER SMAAAAAAAAASH BROOOOTHEEEEERRRRRSS" like in Brawl I will not buy

Yeah Melee was one of the first games I ever played so I feel that. I hope he yells that too. I feel like they didn't put that in Brawl because they made that game have a more serious tone, which is a bit silly. This game looks like it's taking a better, lighthearted approach like the first two games so hopefully that's there haha.

I like this new announcer a lot, personally. I feel like a lot of the sound effects in this game are similar to Smash 64, and it's really nostalgic and awesome. The announcer kinda reminds me of the 64 announcer, a little. Other effects that are similar are the sound of getting smashed, and some of the menu/waiting themes.

And I don't know if you noticed that but he seems more expressive, I mean he is not on the same tune like the Brawl one did
Yeah of course Brawl announcer was epic and loud, but was always saying the characters' name in the same way
This new announcer is just more alive, when is says "MEGA MAAAAAAAAN" he looks hyped like a fan, when he says "Wii fiit trainer" he has a british sound accent, when he says "LLLLLLLLLLINK" he is so funny, the "Pikeuchuuuu" looks depressing as if he didn't like him, the "GRENIIIIINJA" looks like he is going to **** someone.
I may be the only one to spot thoses little touhces but I love it

Also "LIEUL MAC" makes me laugh

I have way too many fond memories of growing up with Melee and 64 to make an unbiased judgement, but I thought Brawl's announcer was pretty good with only a few badly delivered names.

I haven't played classic mode in brawl since 2008 so maybe I didn't notice that the death screams were different. All I remember of Master hand in Brawl was his entrance laugh

I lived in a relatively lower-middle class family until the mid 2000's, so I only owned the N64 when I was young. So I guess we can relate to each other on that respect . Also, I agree 100% that making SSB4 light-hearted is the best option.

So, who IS the announcer this time? Is it still Pat Cashman or is it a new dude? And if it is a new dude, then who is the new dude (or is it impossible to tell until the credits for the game appears)?
