So I've seen many threads about which aspects of the game are bad or disappointed you, but what about the aspects of the game which make it great and fun?
Sure it's Smash Bros so it's bound to be a fun game (what else are you doing on a smash bros board lol) but which part/character/stage/mode/whatever of the game do you like the most compared to previous games?

Everyone has their own opinion, no need to give them any flak here <3

For me personally, I love the feel of the game from what the demo provides.
Also Duck Hunt.

I think the ability to play it anywhere! Especially on the go. Waiting for the bus? Play a couple quick For Glory matches.

Also I can just play it in front of my computer and use skype to chat with friends, instead of having to move my laptop to the living room and use the TV if it was the Wii U version.

Ze best iz D4RK PIT xDDD :4darkpit::4darkpit::4darkpit:

No seriously , all of the game is great, best smash ever , even than Melee with his broken "competitive" mechanic ... A smash that i can carry everywere . Best Roster so far ( Even for Dark Pit and Dr Mario ) ... For what i see from the stream , no broken character like Fox/Meta Knight ...

First, it is Smash Bros in a portable console. I have dreamed about portable Smash for years.

Besides that, the graphics are SO beautiful and adorable, Smash 4 is easily the best looking title for the 3DS. I know people are excited for Smash HD, which is great, but the 3DS version is much more impressive graphics-wise, considering it is a handheld game. The Smash 4's soundtrack already tops Brawl's soundtrack, in my opinion.

The newcomers are all great, even though some of my most wanted character didn't make it. The game runs flawlessly at 60fps, the controls are much better than I thought they would be. The stages, while not competitive-friendly, look amazing for the most part. Speaking of stages, the "Final Destination" versions of almost every stage was a great addition. Etc, etc. I have my fair share of complaints, but overall I am very pleased at the kind of game Smash 4 is turning out to be.

I see what you mean with the graphics ^^ While the Wii U version will look good without a doubt the 3DS does have this nice charm towards it, the fact that it's able to keep a steady 60fps even with the 3d on just make it look outstanding

Also Duck Hunt.:4duckhunt:
Funny, we both have similar planned mains and a love for :4duckhunt:. My list is a little different but my top 3 are:
:rosalina:
:4palutena:
:4duckhunt:

  • I was worried LONG BEFORE THE REVEAL that Rosie would be a Peach clone, but I love the way she plays. The luma, the star bits, the launch star... everything.
  • I really like the character select screen for some odd reason, I think its the colors.
  • Final Destination: I played it so many times in Brawl, I started to hate its tracks. I'm so happy for Omega (FD) stages that have different themes and music.
  • Online Mode: Nuff said
  • Custom Moves: If I absolutely hate a character, I can bend them to my will change up how they play.
  • :4darkpit:'s Theme is in the Reset Bomb Forest stage
  • More, a lot more, but I will just update as they come to mind

For one thing I'm glad it exists since I don't have a Wii U. I'm also glad it's pretty much literally the exact same game as the Wii U version. Only real differences will be a bigger screen with better graphics and whatever exclusive game mode.

Everything already mentioned, though I will also add:

- The game feels faster and more dynamic than Brawl. I actually love Brawl's physics, but this just feels so much smoother and more playable in hindsight!
- No more random tripping (one of the few things I actively dislike about Brawl's gameplay)
- Returning favourites fighting alongside brilliant new heroes and villains!
- The items are gloriously designed and some of them are just absolute genius
- The music oh my god the music
- MASTER CORE. The most amazingly intense final boss the series has seen yet!
- Improved and enhanced online play: you can actually play for laughs or play competitively! Everybody wins!
- Appeals to less experienced or more light-hearted players and more serious and data-enthused players alike
- Brings back some of the best stages from the series while including lots and lots of cool and exciting new ones
- Pit and Palutena playable in the same game? Yes please~ <3
- Play it with your friends or with strangers anywhere you like!
- It brings us all together and lets us discuss and get hype together!

-Portability, It is an obvious factor about the 3ds version.

-3D, While many people would prefer HD on a home console, the 3D looks great imo but I don't see myself using it in a very competitive situation unless it is the new 3ds.

-Roster, I've heard many good things about it and how well balanced they are. Makes me believe that we can see a huge variety of characters being used in tournaments.

-Master Core, a way of master and crazy hand saying "I'm done with this **** time to end this" and makes tabuu looks like a wimp.

-Frames, it's nice to keep it at 60 as I see pokemon and assisted trophies at 30. If the game was at 30 the whole time the game probably wouldn't be as good.

-Graphics, it's gorgeous and has its own charm. Reminds me of melee but still better than brawl imo.

-Gameplay, honestly the demo was great, I think it will be my favorite when I play the full game. It might be better than melee.

I really like that nobody can spam items. Hell even megaman can only have one metal blade and one crash bomb at a time.

The roster is awesome and the only thing the roster needs is more alt costumes like dry bowser, and proto man.

Also them game feels really smooth. Ik it will be out classed from the wiiu version but for a 3ds game nintendo really did pass my expectations.

Stages. Don't forget stages. If I hadn't gotten a raise to where I could afford a Wii U, I'd probably be right there with you lol.

Having only played the demo, I can say that I love how beautiful the game is. Not surprising considering the only ugly 3DS game I've had/played is Combat of Dinosaurs(Ugh, Ubisoft launch title, should've known better). They considerably buffed Link, who was one of my favorites to play as since Smash64. The music is amazing. And while I could think of a few additions to the roster to be better, it is a VERY impressive roster!

One of things I'll enjoy the most is probably the online play. I remember waiting for a good online system when brawl came out. Since everything is fine tuned now I am more than ecstatic of the idea to compete non stop. The gameplay, graphics, and music are all very well done. It's a very balanced game with a hint of spice which makes it good for everyone.

Sure you could pull out the flaws in the game, but you will be missing what is actually there. Give it a taste. From playing Smash 64 to now I would have to say that I am very excited; the release date draws ever so close.

I can only imagine how many hours I'll sink into the online of this game >.< I never managed to get online thanks to the combo of it well.. not being any good and my internet being terrible at the time. Knowing it'll actually be good this time around has gotten me really excited for the whole thing!

The best thing about the 3DS version? EVERYTHING. So much so, that I have NO need for the Wii U version, at all.
And as for that Wii U character transfer, to get more fighters on 3DS? Complete and absolute BULL.

Right? I'm looking forward to those long hours. haha. It's so good this time around, you would be crazy not too. When Brawl was announced with wifi I was so happy, but then let down when the quality was bogus.

I am just as excited as you my friend! It will be here sooner than we think, we'll look back on the days without it.

Portable, smooth, good roster, Smash Run, apparently good online, creative new stages, etc. It's a very complete-feeling game.

It's portable, so I can play it anywhere. It has very good graphics for a 3DS game. Smash Run is very cool. The music is good for the most part, some stages are great (Magicant!!!! My dream came true), no character seems to suck horribly beyond belief like Kirby in Melee, even Little Mac and Rockman. Smash Angry Birds is an entertaining minigame. The roster (except for Dark Pit and Dr. Mario) is great. Classic Mode is not as obnoxious and boring like in Brawl. MASTER CORE IS EPIC! All Star is more and less Melee All Stars, which is great. FD versions can let me hear the music of the other stages wihout suffering their gimmicks. 3D looks cool, specially the screen KOs. And Online doesn't suck. You can nitpick all day about your precious Ridley, or the gimmicks, or the controls, or the graphics or the friggin pixel in the edge of Battlefield but Smash 3DS is a great game and nothing you say is going to change that.

I realize that this is no one else's case with the control nub, but this is the best control I've had in a Smash game. Having the screen right there really helps me play cause I normally have issues keeping track of a bunch of things. It also lets me see the details and position of things on screen better. The nub lets me do tilts easier cause, too, and when I've just blown into the shoulder button to get it workin for a bit, shields come out faster than Brawl cause it's a button and not a trigger, although touching a trigger in Melee brings up a shield immediately, so idk why that was changed.

I'm also someone who does Clash of Clans because it's easy to move around and I have spine issues, so having the 3DS anywhere is amazing.

Ice Clim- OH WAIT!
In all seriousness, the gameplay is top notch.
The music is great. I find myself listening to Trophy Gallery more than I should.
The newcomers are pretty much most of my wishlist. My personal favorite batch of newcomers.
Master Core looks epic. Its a shame there's no story for it but it's epic nonetheless.
