Smash 3DS Online Lag (UK)

I'm from the UK and for the past two days have had slight but very noticeable input lag in for glory matches. Its been fine before this, and I checked my internet speed and it clocked in at 6ms ping, so I can only assume its the servers.

Any other UK smashers experiencing the same thing? And is there anything I can do about it?

you're experiencing lag because the people you're playing with are most likely from the usa
