Smash 3DS Smash 3DS Micro SD Card Problems? Help! :(

I've been using a 16GB Micro SD with a SD card adapter for my 3DS for over a year now and haven't noticed any problems until Smash 3DS (I use the download version of the game USA). Worked fine at launch but it seems as they keep updating the game, when i try to connect to Online for Smash it lags out and never connects. (The Smash ball loading icon stops spinning & eventually pops up with Communication error) it used to work fine like i said until more and more updates were released. It started becoming most noticable after the Share function was added to the online menu...most likely due to it having to pull more data from the SD card at these points) I then tried redownloading the game on a spare 2GB SD card (not micro SD) and loaded the game up and got online no problem..though lost my save file in the process after switching back to the Micro SD.

So my real question is...is there anybody else experiencing this problem & is there a way i can fix this without having to go out and buy a new SD card? Im running on a fully updated Original 3DS & the micro SD is the typical san disk ones you get from Galaxy S5 Smart phones, & the adapter is also a San Disk. I should mention this only happens when i try to connect to Smash 3DS online and never during single player. In the past when it would finally connect after numerous tries, it was fine from there on out until i shut the game & tried to re-connect. Now after the most recent update i havent been able to get through at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated so i can get back online :) Thanks!

Seems as if placing all the data from my Micro SD to my computer, Formatting the card to "Default" & 32KB Cluster Size then replacing all the data has fixed the problem for me.....for NOW until more updates that require more data to be pulled from the SD card when connecting online come out. It still freezes while loading but not as bad to lag out and get a "Communication Error". Its deffinately something to do with using a Micro SD with a SD Adapter. Must not be as fast as a regular SD card.
Hope this helps others with the same issue. Would still like to know how to completely fix this if there is a way. Thanks for looking, Cheers!
