Smash 3DS Slowdown on Pacmaze?

I dunno if other people have been experiencing this but with four players and the ghosts and everything every 10 secs the game slows then returns to normal speed. Anyone else been getting this? I think it's the ghosts combined with everything else.

slowdown in pacmaze is intentional, Whenever someone collects a power pelet other players will experience slowdown except the player with the power pelet.
