Hello, all. I am starting a Super Smash Bros. expectation test to see how good you are in speed running. Each week, there will be a challenge on an event I will make up. Then, the end of the week, I will show the scores of the contestants who made it in order, and will be shown on the page of the contest forum page. These will be the things you will need, and why:
- A YouTube account
- A TV tuner, video capturing device, or a capture card, so I can be shown proof.
(You can use an emulator for this event. I mostly recommend Project64, because it works well with the recording.)
-ONLY FOR EMULATOR USE: any kind of screen capturing device, like Fraps, Wipedo, or anyone, I really don't care
NOTE: Do NOT use hypercam, unless it's registered, and have good quality, or else you can't join
-A Nintendo 64
- A Super Smash Bros. (Or the Japanese version. It's cool if you use a different region copy of the game.)
THINGS I RECOMMEND
- A stopwatch (so you can keep time of your record)
- If you don't have a TV tuner or those things, you can always use your video camera. Just turn off the lights so it can be easier to see. I highly recommend that you do this near the night, so it can be easier to see
-And that's it.
...So every month, I'm going to start off with a different theme, like speed runs, certain character events, time trials, and others that puts the pack in the name of SMASH!!!
Up to 40 can enter, but only 12 will be chosen, but that's it. No "I'LL PAY U", or "PLEASE, I'M BEGGING!!", because that does not work for me.
Just pm me that you want to join, then I'll add you to the list.
At the end of the month, I'll tally up the score of the contestants, and if you have the highest, you know what that means. And NO, it's not free pudding! It means you win, and everyone will thinks your cool. You can re-enter the contest as much as you want. Be sure that you'll get picked. Just for the record, I'll start off with a test event from today, to October 2, 2008. Then the real event will start on October 31, 2008.
SO GOOD LUCK, FELLOW SMASHERS, AND REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN AT IT!!
*And moderators/admins, if
I put this in the wrong thread, please be kindly to move it to the right destination.
Thank you.*
