Skyloft heavy load

When choosing skyloft on project m with 4 players/characters, it gets noticeably laggy still playable. (Basically like playing with slow time effect without the slow time item.) Is there a fix? or is it just me?
(On Dolphin)
The other stages run at pretty decent speed.
