So after some practice I got this technique down, It is very situational, but in the right circumstance, will earn you a fresh stock.
To keep it simple ill refer to it as the "Dair Hop".
Do do the Dair Hop you much grab your opponent at very low percents at the edge of the stage with your back to the blast zone. Downthrow and follow up with a fullhop/short hop (Marth and Zerosuit require shorthop) and down air.
If your opponent isnt expecting it and doesnt dodge they well be meteor smashed about half way between the blast zone and the stage. This isnt enough to kill them
At this point you can fast fall and then foot stool them to put them put of range for recovery.

Like I said, this is very situational, but I felt like I should make this information available since it will help us understand what Diddy is capable of.

The list of characters this works on are as follows
Mario
Luigi
Peach
Bowser
Yoshi
Donkey Kong
Diddy Kong
Little Mac
Gannondorf
Zero Suit Samus
Marth
Charizard
Captain Falcon
Shulk (Shulk has an unusually long footstool animation)
Dr. Mario
Lucina
Pac-man

This seems pretty cool. But it's not really tech you're just dairing and footstooling. And have you test it with DI?

I figured testing with DI would be pointless as this is escapable and relies on your opponent not knowing what's happening

Then if your opponent knows about this and sees it come won't it be useless cause it relies on them not knowing.

Might be a decent mix up, but most skilled players can probably see right through it.

Dthrow-dair onstage is legit at early percents because it can lead into utilt-uair strings. Technically DIable but can catch people off-guard.

Exactly, like I said, its situational it best.
Its a mix up that has a chance to get you a free stock
That chance is very low though. A skill player will see this coming and like i said if they know it's coming they can DI out of it.

If they see it coming they can air dodge after the downthrow.
The entire point of this is a mix up and assumes they don't see it coming, its gimmicky, but I wanted to make it know that this was possible

With Diddy's nerf to down throw, how much does it affect this technique?
