Site specific (smashboards) problem with Opera

This site is loading slowly and will only let me scroll, click links etc. when I click on the "stop loading"-icon. As Opera is perfectly web-standard compliant, I think that there is some programming error in smashboards.
Does anyone have a solution? I'm using Opera 10.51 btw which is latest stable.

You need to remember that few sites tend to support Opera due its small userbase. It's you average chicken and egg scenario. Sites don't support because few people use. Few people use it because sites don't support it.

But yeah, everything has been buggy lately.

I've actually noticed this too. Sometimes I have to refresh and hit stop really quickly in order to do anything. It was a lot worse in Opera 10.0, when it would happen about 90% of the time. Now in Opera 10.51 it happens much less frequently, something like 10% of the time.

I found it happened with a couple other sites as well, for example the official Winter Olympics Ice Hockey pages. So either it's a flaw in Opera or both sites had some programming bug.

It's not -exactly- that. It registers the action of having scrolled or typed or clicked a link, and when you hit stop (or refresh/stop), it carries out those actions.

I had this problem the last time I visited this site with Opera. I never experience anything like this with any of the other browsers I use, if that's of any significance.
