Similar to features in other games like Mario Kart DS/7, StarFox 64 3D, etc., do you think they'd spring for the idea? It would make playing in person less of a hassle, as only one cartridge would be needed for up to 4 systems.
At the same time I can't imagine they'd allow much for customization (choosing your own characters, letting anyone but the cartridge owner pick stages, etc.), as even in Mario Kart, you're defaulted to Shy Guy/standard kart and don't hear the OST when playing, rather a generic song that plays over and over. I'd personally like it simply because I doubt all my friends/siblings are going to want to spring for multiple copies of the game, and would be fine with simplistic settings. Also <3'd Shy Guy fests in MKDS.
Lastly, what do you think are the chances that we'll get an e-Shop demo released early along the lines of the FE:A demo? Even if it wasn't free, was limited to a single stage/default settings (think Basic Brawl) and limited to a handful of starting characters, I think people would go nuts for it, and it'd be a genius move to hype it up.
