And since this is a character that has only appeared on a nintendo console.

Why not Django from Boktai? He could be an interesting addition. (maybe using the new day and night system they seem to have going)

Django sucks...doesn't deserve that much credit, even though the game was good...

Hideo Kojima isn't helping with SSBB...

"It has been revealed that legendary game designer Hideo Kojima will be giving a speech at the Australian Entertainment Expo "GO3" on Saturday March 31st, 2007. He is currently working on MGS4 for the PlayStation 3 (and other consoles?), as well as a stage for upcoming Wii fighter Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

After positive feedback from him with regards to Wii and DS support, maybe this event will hold some answers..."

Thats a quote from the official go3 website ^.^ So yes, he is helping with this game, at least with snakes stage(s) and character (probably nothing more).

Heres the website btw. http://www.go3.com.au/flashsite.html

I don't see Boktai characters being in Brawl this time around. What I do see however, is that maybe there will be another Metal Gear character...maybe Ninja?

i dont get it... isnt snake as a character enough to thank hideo? wait, the developers are doing him a favor by putting snake in. i dont think hideo deserves anything more.

Hideo deserves to be president. Nothing is enough to thank Hideo for the deeds he's done. God himself bows down to his greatness.

Worse case scenario is that the other gaming companies (like Capcom, Sega, Namco, etc.) will be way ,way ,way to prideful to let there star players participate in Brawl being because the people there are A-holes that hate Nintendo or their just wouldn't be enough mucho dinero to go around when Brawl succeeds in selling profits. Since this might happen, then I will gladly take Liquid Snake & Grey Fox (definately not Raiden even though he looks cool in MGS4) to be the 2 participating third-party characters.

I'm a huge MGS fan, but I'm against having another MGS character in Brawl.

Yikes! This thing exploded while I was gone. I don't have any pics of anything because my computer is too slow to search for them.

Just a random idea. You may not want him, but you can't ignore the possibility that they'll put him in. Well, you can, but...

Personally, I want to be surprised by which characters end up in brawl. Like I was w/ Mr. Game & Watch.

I've got a question, since Big Boss (Naked Snake) & Solid Snake are totally different Snake then would it be alright if Big Boss's Snake camloflage suit be an alternate costume for Solid Snake?

Eh, which camoflauge suit would you be talking about??? Naked Snake has many camoflauge suits... Though, my guess is they will give Solid Snake different color camoflauge for the game (probably even different patterns)... Hopefully, we get some face paint as a bonus too (Woot for Skull face paint!!!)

Solid Snake and Big Boss have different hair. Solid cut his so he would look less like liquid. So unless they have special costumes of some kind they probably won't have any form of Big Boss in the game.

And I really don't think I want to see any more MGS characters in Brawl. One is enough. In fact, I don't think we need any other 3rd party characters. Its' Super Smash Bros. not "Videogame Character Fighting Tournament." (Great name, huh)

Super Smash Bros is a conglomeration of Nintendo video game characters fighting each other. And even though Snake is now distinctly Playstation, his first games did find their way to the NES, from Metal Gear to Metal Gear 2. So technically, Snake is a retro Nintendo character, as will all 3rd party characters be.

Django won't get in (even though he would be an awsome character), but since Hideo is helping to make Snake's moves in brawl, I wouldn't be surprised if he gave some sort of reference to the Boktai games, in the form of one of snakes moves/actions (ie. victory poses). Hideo has a habit of making references to past works, so we might just see a slight refernce to the Boktai games.
