Yeah I'm not sure if anyone saw this connection yet but the new SE is very similar to the Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi series.
First similarity.
This is the brawl world map. Notice the exclamation point on the cloud. That is very similar to Tenkaichi because you fly around the world map and on your map their are spots that will light up, you fly to them and fights will start, that way you can fight more for practice instead of moving along with the story.
Meaning that it's possible that it will works the same as it does in Tenkaichi, so after a fight a character can join you (Zelda) or if you go to an exclamation point place then the character will fight with you. It can also happen after a battle like characters can join after you unlock them or after just finding them in the story. Such as if they could not find a way for you to get the Pokemon Trainer to join they would just have a spot where he says "I'll fight with you!" then that's all.
I'm not saying that they copied of Tenkaichi I'm just saying that, it's possible that this is how the SE could play out.

Again same thing was in Tenkaichi. After you win a battle your experience go u pand you can add health or attack strength or speed to your character. My guess is that in the game you play with Stamina and you can add more stamina while you level up, or how fast you move, how much damage you give, etc. There’s a method for powering yourself up as needed to do battle with the Subspace Army—a method that has not been seen before.
