Side Event Mii-only Tourney?

I was at Glitch this past Saturday and had a great time. Though I didn't participate in the customs tourney, I really got a kick out of watching it. While in singles, doubles and low tier Miis had to be guest 1111 only, to the best of my knowledge in customs were available with any moveset AND any size. One guy in particular seemed to be having a ton of fun with his Jay Leno tiny Mii brawler. That got me to thinking: if we can't come to a consensus on the Miis, would we at least be able to do a Mii only side event where you could basically use any size, any moveset Mii you wanted? The only main rule I could think of would be to make sure that the Mii design would be appropriate for a public stream.

I think this would be a lot of fun and I even came up with a fun Mii-themed stagelist (Miiverse, Pilotwings Omega, Wuhu Island, Town and City, Smashville). Also, logistically it would allow quite a few more people to bring setups since no DLC is necessary to buy and the only thing that would need to be unlocked would be Smashville.

Thoughts? I'd love to see how a Mii meta could evolve with open options like these.

The players in my area liked the idea of a "Mii for all", but it was more for celebrating a free moveset and everyone could rightfully use all their moves. That is a much better way of getting one together, otherwise it might reinforce the idea that free Mii are only for silly side events like customs.
