sick of prophets, leaks, fakes, and poor translations?

It's about time that these boards get purged of unnecessary spam. I miss when SWF was a place to go for actual content. Is it too much to ask for guidelines to be more rigid? Should anyone who even attempts these kind of threads be banned? Sure we might miss out on the extremely rare chance of an actual leak...but it sure would save all the trouble and commotion caused by all this unofficial, and often ill supported, "evidence". Plus, there are several who don't even want to know these spoilers. DOUBLE-PLUS, the Japanese release is so close!!

I say SWF ought to adopt some stricter guidelines, in the very least, for the next couple weeks. I think the benefits would outweigh the cost. Is this plausible? Thoughts or criticisms?

I'm actually sick of threads that say they're sick of prophets etc.

Just go away for 13 days (2 extra to be sure), and then return to maybe a purged SWF.

also, this thread isn't just about a complaint of mine, but also a discussion about posting guidelines and what kind of topics are slipping through the spam-filter.

Dude, I come to this site LOOKING for those "prophets". All the other posts here have been posted a dozen times. "Who are you going to main?" "This is my predicted roaster list!". "Is sakurai doing a good or bad job?".

At least with the prophets, it's a chance for new information, a chance for something different. Even if it's fake, there's still that excitement for me. If prophets were banned, i'd have little point to come here (except for the leaked info from Japan().

that's cool. I know people definitely get into the excitement of a possible leak. I'm curious how many people are of that thought. Do you ever feel like too many prophets are popping up, and that certainly some of them must be copycats, and do you really think the real thing will actually come our way? I guess what I'm asking is: doesn't it get harder and harder to be excited about seeking out these "leaks"?
