Sick of Miiverse

Miiverse is cute, but I'd like to belong to a community that actually seems interested in talking about my favorite game; Super Smash Bros.!

I have been playing Super Smash Bros since the days of the Nintendo 64 and was addicted immediately. My older brother and I would play for hours on end.

The first system I bought on my own was the Gamecube, which I bought with paper route money. I then played Melee actively until Brawl came out which I bought on the midnight release and played from 12:30 a.m. until about midnight the following evening. Somehow I can still play Super Smash Bros Brawl and find it incredibly exciting.
Needless to say, I have a sick obsession with the game. I don't play like a pro after all these years of experience, but enjoy playing competitively with friends. I don't care if I lose, as long as you can at least think I'm a total pain in the butt to play against by the time the match is finished.

I'd love to meet some new friends on Smash Boards who would like playing online on both the 3DS & Wii U. If you stink at the game, you can get better by challenging me. If you are AWESOME... I can get better by challenging you!

I like to main Ice Climbers, Lucas or Ness, Jigglypuff and I'm most looking forward to playing as The Villager.

I'm sick of miiverse as well. Hey BTW, I will be getting both versions of smash as well, so you are in luck! I main Zelda. I main others as well, and there is no telling who i'll add to my list of mains. Watch out, I am a serious threat when it comes down to Smash. Can't wait to have a blast with you on October 3rd! Maybe it's because it's coming out sooner but I'm looking forward to the 3ds version more. I think it looks absolutely awesome graphics wise, and there is something about being able to travel with my favorite game that just really makes me happy. :-)

You're amongst the few. It's almost depressing how it seems like Brawl players have to go into hiding since nowadays so many people bash it freely. And if you openly make a statement like your last sentence, a potential flame war could start because people can't accept opinions favoring Brawl.

During the time I played Brawl, I enjoyed myself. While I have moved on to play PM and going back to playing Melee to get a feel for it again, Smash 4 still excites me even though it's favoring Brawl over Melee (don't know why people were expecting it was going to magically revert to Melee anyway).People can call it a Brawl 2.0 all they want to, that's not going to be the case.

I'm basically just a very open person. There are elements that I really like from Melee, and there are elements that I really like from Brawl

For me, what makes the super smash bros games so exciting is the nostalgic feeling I get from playing them. I play literally every single title represented in each game (sometime just because they are represented) and Brawl really brought a ton of elements to the game that were missing in Melee. Even after years of playing, bizarre things can occur that have never happened before. I played Melee recently and I see what people like so much about it. The quick fighting style, the ease in getting multiple combos and the more balanced gameplay, but I will always prefer the games with more content and characters to choose from. Sakurai made some mistakes in Brawl but overall it only improved on an already amazing game.

So to sum it up Melee felt like driving a Ferrari. Fast,ease of use and much more. While Brawl felt like a Rolls Royce slower but packed alot more things than a Ferrari ever could.

Perfect way to put it! I can. Definitely see why hardcore players prefer the Ferrari, but I'm not a pro. Hopefully 3ds and wii u versions will be a happy medium between brawl and Melee. (From the looks of it they will be.)

I Abandon Miiverse a long time ago. The Smash Community on Miiverse is not even a Community. The only thing you find in Miiverse is requests for Sherk and Kid's Falling in love and it becomes a "Over Night Internet Sensation". The Admins should be getting those people for spamming Miiverse for not what it is intended to be, Not innocent people!!!

I played Brawl myself and coming from a Melee background I liked it. It was nice to have a slow game for a few years.
Now I'm in PM and there's nothing else out there for me!
Falco will return. I hope. I like all of those characters actually.

I downloaded PM a few years ago and although I thought it was majorly impressive that fans were capable of making it, I didn't think it was very smooth compared to the professionally made games, HOWEVER, I downloaded it a few nights ago and was completely blown away by the improvements. It's like a completely new game and it's the perfect thing to tithe me over until SSB 3ds comes out. :-) I'm so happy my favorite game series has such devoted fans. Also... Roy's final smash? How cool!
