Should Sakurai get replaced?

I hope Smash bros gets a new director. Sakurai used to be a man who absolutely loved his work and painstakingly made melee, he worked over 40 hours and slept for 4 for one game--simply because he knew there was a chance that it could be worse than the original. Now he's a lazy, talentless hack who hates his fanbase, appeals to a group of people who asked nothing from them, and thinks melee was "too difficult." Anyway...... do you think he should get replaced? Imagine the possibilitys of a new director!

I can't get past his philosophy on competitive play. Melee being competitive did not stop my brother and me from having tons of fun as little kids spamming each other with items and playing all stages. Brawl being not competitive DID stop my friends and me from having tons of fun playing on a higher level against each other.

I only think he should be replaced if he continues to show favoritism to his own franchises. I'm sure we've all noticed the sheer amount of KI content in this game and the lack of content from a few other franchises. Sakurai's a brilliant man and I love his work. I love the style of his games and have a deep respect for the man. But I don't want him playing favorites. It isn't fair to all of the other franchises in your game.

I actually would like to see what a fresh director could bring to the series. Sakurai's done a great job, but I feel like he's probably had enough at this point. Let a newer director get a chance to spread his wings.

Regardless of characters, regardless of game modes, I just want to see what someone else could do with this series now. Maybe we'd appreciate things like Brawl a bit more if it turned out to be worse...

Sakurai is perfectly fine as a director. Just because you didn't like all the characters doesn't mean the man who had the vision and creativity to make such a monumental series should be replaced.

News Flash: Melee isn't everything. Just because something was a certain way doesn't mean it has to stay the same. If you like Melee, go play it, or better yet, play Project M. Just don't complain about the man who's spend the better part of 15 years on Super Smash Brothers.
