Should roy have been on brawl?

He was an advertisement for Fire Emblem 6, which at that point hadn't been released, even in Japan. Roy was added because the president {at the time} of Nintendo wanted him in there to advertise the upcoming game. Sakurai didn't want to, but he added him anyway.

Therefore, it kinda makes sense that he isn't in this time.

Don't get me wrong though--I did like Roy, and it's a shame he's not back. But at least Pit looks enough like him to tide me over. XD

I would have preferred K. Rool be in if another character was here, and his ship music is now looping on my computer, hearing how great it is, and all the meories it brings back almost makes me cry.

Marth was the original lord, and Ike is the new one. Roy was the upcoming central protagonist in Melee, so he was the newest one in Melee.

No. he should've been an Assist Trophy, if anything, but he was only in to advertise Fire Emblem: Miaden of The Dark. I thought that was common knowledge!
