If you did that then there's no point of buying them on the eshop is there?
Nintendo would also lose money since they charge like $4 for a NES game.

Eh... I like the demos-encouraging-you-to-buy system.

We get a free taste of what the characters' home series are like, then we can buy if we like. I think everyone wins here.

Should they?
I guess if they wanted there to be no space left on the disc for smash bros content? And no incentive to ever buy the games on the eShop. But yes, everything i want should be free, but my opinion is a little biased.

The masterpieces occupy a tiny fraction of the disk space. The largest ones - the N64 games - are a measly 32 MB in size at most. The WiiU disc can hold 25 GB of data.

The demos are actually full games with a time lock added on top.

I don't mind their inclusion as demos at all. I'd be cool to completely unlock access to full games via Smash, but they'd have to work something special out since Nintendo has the Virtual Console going on. I rather like how their setup right now. Then again, I don't mind DLC that has preexisting data on-disc, so take that for what you will.

Smash 4's Masterpieces is a stark reminder that, compared to Brawl, the WiiU Virtual Console still doesn't house N64 games, nor would they let you buy GB games to play on the WiiU. :'(

No.

I feel like if you wanna play an older game, just bust out the system and cartridge.

The games are timed so the player would want more, And Nintendo points the way to the e-shop.

That would be silly. You're buying Smash Bros, not the "Smash Bros + half of the decent games on eShop bundle"

They're giving you demos. The point of demos is to get you to try a game before buying it. I don't even see how this is an issue.

They shouldn't be full, no, but they shouldn't be timed either. They should end when you get to a certain point. Like the end of a track in Super Mario Kart or the end of a match in Smash 64 (apparently they were going to include it but they removed it, probably because there's no N64 Virtual Console on the Wii U yet).
