Hey guy's, i'm in a little bit of a vortex here. I often tell people that i play Street Fighter, Pokemon, and now Smash competitively, which is fine i guess. But now i have both work and school to deal with. And even though i still have a fair amount of free time, i feel like i should stick to maybe just one game to play competitively. Iv'e been playing smash 4 alot, and now Pokemon ORAS is on its way in less then a week, and then i plan to get Ultra SFIV with a fightstick soon. Would it be easier to just stick to one, and play the others for pure enjoyment?

And i just realized i may have posted in the wrong section lmfao

If you're interested in competitive play you have a lot of work ahead of you. To keep up with the best you need to spend a bit of time with each character to learn the mindset of them all, spend as much time as possible mastering your main(s), as well as learning the math behind matchups. And even then if you don't research the players you're against its possible to get side swept out of a game from a new strategy.

Playing competitively is a ton of work. Doing it for multiple games straight up multiplies the work you have to do. Doing well in one game competitively while dealing with work and school is commendable, doing several is borderline impossible. This of course is speaking from the perspective of a casual player who's followed pros in several different games and the impression I've gotten has generally been the same.
