Smash 3DS Should I Be Worried About Lag Online with Friends?

Me and my friends have been planning on each getting a Wii U for Smash, but I'm a little bit concerned that we may have lag problems like with Brawl. I expect some lag, obviously, but any visual stuttering or dropping to like 20 frames makes me uneasy.

We all plan on using Ethernet adapters for a wired connection.
I have 60mbps download, 10mbps upload.
My friends have 100 down, 10 up, and 10 down, 1 up respectively. I am in Colorado, they're in Alaska. We play online games all the time with little to no lag, but considering Brawls poor netcode, should I be worried this time around?

Considering that the 3DS is near lagless. The Wii U version will feel like they're playing right beside you.

Brawl was pretty atrocious.
I can almost promise you, of course without really knowing, that this game will be near flawless.
This is the age of online gaming and I've literally not once had a problem with Mario Kart, so that's what I'll base my argument on lol.

Brawl's online was terrible if you were trying to play with 4 people and items on berserk. 1v1 battles with a friend who lives in the same country were okay.
Anyway, the Wii used 802.11b wifi, which was, as we've all seen, pretty crappy at transferring data. Only 10Mbps.
The Xbox360 and PS3 used 802.11g wifi, which could transfer data at about 50Mbps.
The WiiU has taken it a step further with 802.11n wifi, which can transfer data at about 300Mbps. (Maybe more like 100Mbps)

So, the Wii U uses the latest wifi tech and smash bros has got Namco Bandai working on the Online Multiplayer. In case ya didn't know, Namdai are able to make magical stuff happen with online gaming. See Wii Sports Resort Tennis, Tekken Tag 2, or Mario Kart 8 for reference. You'll be amazed at how smooth the online is. They can work wonders with netcode that Nintendo simply can't achieve, which is probably why they've put them in charge of the online for all their latest games.

TLDR Wireless online has come a long way and using the crappy Wii LAN adapter will make your online worse. The Wii Lan Adapter can only transfer data at 50-100Mbps. The WiiU doesn't have ethernet ports and only has USB 2.0 ports so wireless is pretty much the only option.

Thank you all for the help!

I'm feeling much more confident about me and my friends getting a Wii U now.

@ DakotaBonez DakotaBonez I only had the Wii Lan Adapter in mind because of the Smash Direct, where Sakurai recommended it, but if it only limits the speeds, I will probably just skip out on getting it, like you suggested.

From what I've seen on streams it's flawless aside from the very occasional laggy match, which is probably client-sided.
