Should I be concerned about wireless interference?

Should I be concerned? (please explain your answer if you can)

Hi, I'm going to start going in tournaments soon. My controller of choice is the pro controller. NickRiddle told me that wireless controllers can have a chance of interference. I'm wondering: when will interference happen and how bad will it be? Should I be concerned?

Other controllers can interfere with you're inputs via wireless connection. You can get more info about it here on this thread. Wave birds have the same problem in melee cause some people cheat in tournaments by using wavebirds by putting a wavebird on the same channel on an other controller and the person who is playing on an other one. This is easy to find out cause sometimes the person is not really doing the same inputs as what's going on. But sometimes it's not this it's that other wave birds interfere with each other if on the same channel without knowing. But if you're at a small tournament and you check if anybody else is using a pro controller and nobody is you should be able to use it.

wat? nonono, that's not how it works boi. Wireless controllers like the pro controller will rarely get interference unless it's at a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge tourney. Also, wavebirds use different channels, that's how people can cheat although it rarely happens.

Have you looked at the thread i linked? And there was interference at a small tournament so it can still happen. And what are you talking about XD? Wave birds need to be on the same channel to work. And it was just an example.

when 8+ wireless controllers are being used at the same time, it causes interference.
And about the wavebirds, they use channels different than their opponent is what I meant.
