Short hopping help

I posed this tread due to the fact of how late i was of editng the title of my old one " fast falling help" its so hard to fast fall with sheik leaving me vulnerable to be attacked when im coming down. i tap the x and y buttons really ligh and sheik stil full jumps for some reason. any tips?

Slide your finger over Y or X. Shiek's short hop is still pretty high, so don't fret too much.

Also, it shouldn't be hard to fastfall with any character. You can only fastfall after the peak of your jump, so press down as soon as your character begins their descent.
