Try not to SD with side B after dashing or landing in a platform.

You want help with SHL? Start by learning to SH and then just work in the laser and eventually add in the fast fall. Then work on being able to move forwards and backwards while performing a SHL so that you can advance/retreat with it.
It can also be helpful to cancel the SHL by FFing too early, as it is a good mind game if your opponent is able to power shield.
