Short Hop Bair???

Has anyone made this a part of their brawl gameplay? I dubbed this move the mule kick because man she kicks like a mule! just curious because its vary effective at keeping enemies at a distance or for killing over 110% Any thoughts?

yes i did, but to use it u have to use the bair a little later after her short hop to hit people cuz her short hop is pretty high, it's kinda the same timing with the short hop missile cancel

I was gonna say you have to use the same timing as the zair but nonetheless its really effective

Honestly. I've found RAR bair/ sh bair to be generally useless on anything not in lag or at least Link's height. Occasionally you'll catch somebody off guard with it but most of the time it's just plain useless and leads to being grabbed or punished in some form. It's one of the drawbacks of Samus' height and her sh that's the almost the same height as Kirby's normal jump.

I'm gonna have to disagree the knockback on the move is aweseome and if pulled off fast enough can be used to do some serious damage. Like the zair i think it has potential as an edgeguard. i haven't really tested it a lot but it works pretty well in my opinion. samus's short hop height doesn't help the move i'll give you that but i don't think its useless at all

It's great as an edgeguard or if somebody's in lag. However most people will just just shield it or sidestep and proceed to grab or fsmash.

The knockback is great yea, but hitting people with it is another issue. I can't remember the last time I managed to RAR bair a competent person that wasn't a Bowser/Charizard/DDD on the stage.

I get an sh bair off sometimes, but more often that not I get punished for trying to do it.

It's not entirely useless, but it's not that great. It has potential though and I'm sure we'll eventually figure out some way for it to be viable at time passes by, but right now I don't really care for using it that much. On the stage at least. Her bair is one of the things that is really not helped by her Brawl size at all.
