Hey all - Peter here from CyberDen (my old gaming center, now I'm starting the music and sound design back up!)
Fate has placed me into a position to start work doing sound design and potential 'brainstorming' for a new arcade shooting gallery game and thought I would bounce some questions off y'all -
Now yes, we're talking those old school 25+ year old target shooters you find at Disneyland, Knotts, Ocean City, etc... The company is updating to a new design / new sounds and if you were gonna plunk some quarters into a target style shooting game, what would be some of the things you would like to see?
One idea I had was to try and incorporate background music in the theme of the cabinet (there will be several themes) as this hasn't been really done before with these... ya used to just shoot away and that was that... and aside from your typical FX, would there be anything particularly interesting you would like to hear.
Also, visually - any themes you think would be the most entertaining (within legal licensing limits of course so ya, probably no Super Mario Target Shooting).
Now's the time to shoot me some ideas
