Ok! I Finally figured out a way to make shining out of shield easy, and consistant.

To perform this you must be able to:
Jump cancel a shine using whatever method you use.
Perform the edgegaurd to marth thing (light shield whatever its called)

How its done:

Firstly, get your opponent off the ledge! Nair, smash shine do whatever you want just make them have to recover.

Bring up your light shield using Z and point toward the ground (without dodging).
There are various ways you can do this:

1)Roll and hold Z and down during your roll. <-Long!
2)Grap and hold Z and down. <-Slow!
3)Do a jab and hold Z and down. <-2nd Fastest.
4)Wavedash and hold Z and down. <-Fastest. (My fav :p)

Now, the advantage of this way, is that you DONT have to let go of Z, you dont have to worry about not pressing A to grab (becuase you cant with Z lightshield) thus, making it insanly easy to do. I've been practising for like 5mins and can do it consistantly - so im sure no-one here will have a problem lol.

Next:
Wait for the lag to stop against your shield - and do a JC shine. (I slide from X over A and then B) And boom, shine spike - or on other characters, easy set up/ledgeguard (sets up for reverse waveshine > ledgehog too :p)

Im sure i dont have to list its uses becuase its so obvious lol...

So yeah - tell me if it works ^^

I've been using the c-stick to jump out of my shield while pressing down on the control stick which places my thumb right at the B button. Seems to be working pretty well for me but I'll definitely have to try your method! I'll let you know how it works. Thanks for the idea! ^_^

you know, i used to think it'd be awesome to do this, i can even do it with the regular shield without angling it down, and i've found that most ppl sweetspot or otherwise don't go straight at you in way that lets you do this. So although it's really cool, i've never really seen a great use for it, since no one worth using it on is going to set themselves up for it.
