shine spike assist

i was watching the shined blind video and i saw a massive amount of shine spiking on fox's b-up recovery is there any strategy or tip i should know to do this successfully i find the timing to be massively difficult to deal with...HELP! i need somebody...HELP! not just anybody.....

The shine's hitbox extends a bit away from the shine itself, so you don't have to worry about getting right into the other Fox/Falco's face when you're going to shine the firebird/firefox.

Btw, don't watch Shined Blind.

I agree with Fastfox. There's no real skill into this. It's all timing. Turn around for a slightly bigger chance of shining them, since the shine has a bigger hitbox behind.

You can also WD to the edge then ledge drop immediately for the invincibility frames to increase your chances even more.

what i always do :

when the fox/falco is charging up his up b , i drop down till im below him and than jump into him
-> shine . it works pretty good .

Yeah, the easiest way is to use the edge invincibility frames. From the edge, you can ledge-hop a shine, ledge-drop (potentially w/ a 2nd jump) as shine, or you can fire-stall on the edge so you regrab the edge right as they start moving toward you.
