I am having trouble with shine bair as Fox I am not sure if they are DIing the Shine up and then bairing I see Chillindude829 and Professor Pro do it before

Shine Bair?

You can only shine bair with fox if the opponent DIs up or toward the stage - I believe.
So if you up throw -> shine bair at the edge of a stage, they have to either DI up or toward the center of the stage to get hit by the bair. Also, you know that when the shine hits and they don't DI the up throw, they will go behind you, so that's the direction of the bair.
That's why shine bair, as Fox, is a good mix up (if you can do it) IMO. When you up throw, a lot of people will think you're just going for a bair so they'll automatically DI up and toward the stage. So it'll guarantee the shine bair (if you're fast enough), it'll look flashy, and it messes up their DI for a split second after the shine so that they won't be DIing optimally
etc etc.
Make sure you can shine bair first, of course and you don't get stuck in your shine, blah blah
Also, you can practice on high leveled CPUs because they will always have the maximal survival DI.
