Big Blue eSports, organizers of Shine 2016, announced today that Joseph "C9 | Mango" Marquez will be attending the New England-based event, which will be taking place on August 26 - 28.
Mango, who recently placed 4th at EVO 2016, is the third among the 'Big Six' of Super Smash Bros. Melee to confirm that they will be going to Shine 2016. He joins long-time rivals Juan "TL | Hungrybox" Debiedma and Jason "FOX | Mew2King" Zimmerman, along with a slew of other competitors, in competing for the event's championship title.
Like Genesis 3 and other premiere Smash events, Shine 2016 will also be featuring priority seating for Top 8. Being a large event, having the ability to sit down ahead of others might serve as a worthwhile investment to some.
From now until August 9, Shine 2016 is offering a special event shirt for that very purpose. Priced at $30, buying said shirt will provide one with an assured seat in the 3rd and 4th rows during the finals for each game.
Competitors for Super Smash Bros. also have something to look out for. Designed by Nfreak of Pound 2016 Gamecube fame, the winner of the Smash 64 event will get the one-of-a-kind Shine 2016 Nintendo 64 console.
