Hey guys! I've been learning how to shield drop and I was wondering what do you guys think is good setups for shield drops for falcon? and buffers and things.

I've learned that dashing->shield drop on a platform is extremely easy but how applicable can it be?

Well the whole point is to drop safely without having to let shield down so it sounds pretty useless

Yeah but it lets you drop from a platform straight out of a dash so you can get from one edge to the other and instantly drop because you cant drop from a dash normally.

I do the dashing shield drop > uair and bair all the time. Awesomely useful, and very fast. The hardest part about it is L-cancelling the moves you execute when you drop.

I like shield dropping when someone's on a platform too or higher than me because you can either back off or pressure with up airs at that point.

The way to buffer it is just to hold down for 3-5 frames and then shield and you will drop though. If you spot dodge it was too soon and if you do nothing it was too late.
The way to do it without buffer is to dash and then shield and then put the stick in one of the lower notches for the shield drop (controller dependent though).
Hey Mysto :D
