Shield Dropping with Different Characters

Is it easier for anyone else to shield drop with some characters over others? I can shield drop really consistently with Sheik (standing drops, running drops) but when I try to do the same things on Falco I can only get it sometimes. I thought it might have to do with the dash length of the characters, but I'm not sure.

Every character has their own shield drop difficulty, some are more demanding then others. In my experience (in terms of the top 8 characters), starting from the easiest:

1.) Peach

2.) Jigglypuff

3.) Captain Falcon

4.) Sheik

5.) Falco

6.) Fox

7.) Ice Climbers

8.) Marth

Shield dropping is the same with all characters; it's just you.
Strictly speaking, that's not true. The CPU-controlled Ice Climbers has a slightly lower input value range than all other characters, so inputting not far downwards enough will only make the main Ice Climber shield drop.

But yeah, apart from that, all characters shield drop equally easy.

Hmmmm how interesting, I use shield dropping so much, and I truly believed it felt easier with some characters then others. Maybe it is because I use "Arizona Shield drop," or "Axe shield drop," what ever you want to call it. But I had a much easier time doing it woth some characters then others. I guess I am just crazy lol.

I still find that it's a bit easier to do a running shield-drop with some, but I think that is because of the differing initial move animations. It's still really weird how this happens for me, although I am improving a bit by just putting some time on the characters that I thought were harder.

Oh so that's why that happens. I was trying to shield drop on ICs and only Popo would drop. I thought it was just another syncing issue. That's odd.

Visual cues definitely play a part in the perceived difficulty. Ik I definitely miss shield drop more with some characters just because of this.
