shffl: fast falling

Hi,
I'm pretty new to competitive melee and i recently started to practice shffling with falco.
i`ve got one question though: how important is the fast fall in the shffl.
For example, when i do a fair and i fast fall he doesn`t use all his kicks.
Maybe it's just for his fair but some help would be greatly appreciated.

part of getting good at shffl's is mixing up fastfall timings depending on how you want to use your move.

for example, if you don't fast-fall the dair on falco when you shffl into someone's shield, they can shield-grab you before your shine comes out. if you fast-fall and start your dair late, however, you can confirm dair -> shine on their shield. but if you don't fast-fall, you have time to drift your dair so you can space yourself away from the shield grab.

fair is not a great move on falco, so whether you fast-fall the fair or not depends on what you want. if you just wanna get the jank multi-hits, then don't fast-fall, but if you want only the first hit of fair and then cancel it immediately into a potential followup, fast-fall it.

The FF is extremely important, but fair is not a very good move, and generally when using it you just want the first kick.
