I've been playing around with melee Marth some, and I've found a few things out that I like. He was my first main when I started learning about competitive melee, but it wasn't long until I switched over to other characters.

Now that I've played with him some more, I must say, his SHF-air is pretty much perfect. However, I think people often only do SHDF. In my opinion, this is kind of a waste, as the SHF-air can combo into any of his aerials, depending on your opponent's position.

Some examples of this are, starting with the obvious, ending with a U-air. I'm not sure on the exact numbers, but the U-air has around the same landing lag as the F-air, and it pops them up right in front of you at low %s (for floaties) and mid %s for fastfallers. The only Marth I really see using SHF>U is Kizzu, though I'm sure others use it plenty.

The D-air can be used if you pop them up slightly towards the edge to spike. As rare as it sounds, I've gotten this a decent number of times. It also launches them a bit if you do it on the level, but generally the U-air is better for that due to less lag.

The B-air doesn't hit often, but I like to SHF-air past someone shielding, then B-air if they tried to shield grab and missed.

The N-air is my favorite of them all, because it'll only hit the first hit. The move will barely come out, then you land, leaving your opponent with a bit of stun. 95% of the time I have been able to get a grab off of this... it really works great in my opinion. XD
Hope this helps someone :p
