Sheik's fair and Shino stall questions

Hey! I'm pretty new to sheik although I've been practicing with her for a while. I had some quick questions:

1. Is it only possible to L-cancel fair when it's done incredibly close to the ground? And is there a way to pull off an fair --> any aerial in one jump? (I've seen M2K do this, but I don't remember the match)

2. When I watch high level sheiks they always shino stall very close to the edge so that the first half of the UpB barely rises above the edge, but when I do it, I seem to always go way above it. How do I replicate that effect?

Yes, you can L-Cancel a fair very close to the ground. You pretty much hit your fair input and L at the same exact time to pull it off.

You can do a fair into any other aerial in one full jump, just not a short hop. Input the fair right as soon as you jump and you will have enough time for any other aerial before landing back on stage. If you're having trouble getting the fair out soon enough use Z to input it.

2) That's just an issue of figuring out the proper timing. If you're not pressing Up-B to interrupt your midair jump early enough, you'll gain a lot of extra height. You don't have to speed it up while practicing too much - getting used to slight adjustments to timing and performing the given tech consistently under those new conditions isn't easy. Just work on cutting the time between midair jumping and Up-Bing down more whenever you play or practice, and you'll naturally get closer to the better height sooner or later. Alternatively, you could FF after letting go of the edge for a little bit to match the height you want, but that's more of a temporary fix that if advise against, since as a result of taking more time to fall further down, you would create a small gap between the invincibility frames from grabbing the ledge and the invincibility frames from Up-B...which sort of defeats the purpose of using Shino Stall with invincibility. Just an idea though, in case you run into a situation in a tourney where you wanna use Shino Stall, before you get it down more.

You can do a fair into any other aerial in one full jump, just not a short hop. Input the fair right as soon as you jump and you will have enough time for any other aerial before landing back on stage. If you're having trouble getting the fair out soon enough use Z to input it.
IIRC rising SH F-airs do actually give you enough time to input N-air and make use of it's earlier frames with hitboxes before you land, if you're quick enough and don't FF.

The way I do Shino Stalls does not involve a ledge hop at all. Simple let go of ledge with down and emediate Up-B. My control stick goes clack-clack, like with dash dance. This way Sheik will poof not very high above stage level

It's actually possible to do SH Fair Nair L-Cancel. It's difficult, but possible.
You can do FJ Fair Fair on low percents, or what ever aerial you wanna follow up with.
If you are serious aboue Sheik you should watch the two trial videos on youtube by Jason Ripple and Little England.
The SH Fair Nair L-Cancel is in there somewhere

Edit: oops JaiCho already said it. Sorry for repeating

Thanks guys this all helps a lot. Got the Shino stall down, but the SH fair --> nair is still giving me trouble.
