Sheik Safe Ledge Options

Sheik has an enormous amount of options when coming off the ledge. I wanted to share what a lot of these look like so new Sheiks and old can easily see all the tools they have at their disposal. None of these were done with TAS, I simply performed these with a controller and then paused, meaning all of these are realistic options without frame-perfect inputs. All pictures were taken using the 20XX hack pack. When Sheik is blue in the images, that means she is invincible. When she is yellow, she can be hit. Red shows hitboxes.

Invincible Options
Performed by shino stalling and then immediately ledgehopping. Can be used on any stage.

According to this TAS gif (credit Kadano), invincible ledgedash ground attacks are possible, but I have difficulty inputting them myself. Hypothetically, you should be able to perform a ftilt, dtilt, utilt, jab, and maybe a grab while still invincible after a ledgedash, but that seems to require TAS levels of perfection. In practicality, baiting out an attack with an invincible ledgedash will be the most viable option, but keep the other options in mind if you're up for the difficult inputs!

Invincible Wall Jump Aerials
Performed by ledgehopping into a wall jump aerial. The wall jump grants only a few frames of invincibility, so an aerial needs to be thrown out immediately after the wall jump. Nair could be utilized in these situations too.


Invincible wall jump aerials can be used on any stage, but I'm showing Battlefield and Pokemon Stadium because you cannot approach with a wall jump aerial from underneath on these stages. On the other stages, invincible wall jump aerials can be used underneath the stage for gimps or by wall jumping off the ledge as these images depict.

Safe mixup options (not invincible)
Performed by ledgedropping and then wall jumping underneath the stage. Excellent choices for mixups, just don't use them too frequently, as they are relatively easy to punish.

Uair Poke Through Stage Mixup
Performed by ledgedropping under the stage, double jumping, then uairing under the stage. Be sure to sweetspot the ledge after using either of these! Can only be used on Battlefield and PS.
