Hey everyone,

So I am new, novice player on the boards. Recently, I started to main Shiek, however, I always have trouble with one thing. How do you guys (or girls) punish an opponent that rolls around a lot? I have trouble positioning myself correctly.
I can WD and all that fun jazz... it is just positioning that is my problem.

He does it multiple times in a row, usually with Marth.
When I attempt dashes he just rolls again and again until he has superior spacing. Do I still do the same thing against this?
I will try to get a replay up if necessary.

Look for the spacing at which he typically starts his rolls. Run up just before that spacing and hold down. Whenever he starts to roll, follow him and grab him.

So you you've analyzed him enough to know he keeps rolling.
If he's rolling away, run towards him, don't dash attack, instead keep running. he'll propably roll away again. You'll be able to catch up and punish with dash attack, grab or downsmash.

If he rolles behind you, just tilt him early enough so he won't get another roll in. Or grab if you've gotten used to timings.(He has alot of vulnerable frames in between rolls. You need to hit him then. Start your attack before he arrives at the end of his roll and you should be more than fine. you should kill him. instantly.)

If he rolles away and then rolls behind you aswell, you need to dash towards him, then crouch (or wavedash back) and react to what he does. (behind = tilt/dashattack/grab/downsmash, away= dash then dashattack/grab/downsmash)

keep in mind robs tipp, very usefull. If you can force him to roll when you want him to, it gets even easier

If they do nothing but roll when in shield, and you see the shield come up, either predict a direction and setup a punish, or position yourself in their space well enough to react with a grab/dash attack/f tilt to set up a combo.
