Jake Kaufman is the main composer for Shantae games and for WayForward as a whole.

I do feel like she's the second cutest of the bunch, behind the obvious of course.
But she's so freaking adorable! :3

She looks a lot like a child, which could be a reason.
She looks so frightened there. I wish I could hug her...

I guess the sprite does make her childlike (as does most of the sprite art), but it’s weird because she’s not that much shorter than Shantae in-game and Twitch might actually be older than her. Both she and Vinegar are implied to be college girls by the Spring Break remark in Pirate’s Curse and I’m more inclined to believe that since I graduated with a few girls that look like and are as tall as she appears.

I dunno, it’s something about her overall design I like. Maybe it’s the pigtails, maybe it’s the bow, maybe it’s the gla-you know what, never mind, forget I said anything.

I like Rottytops Hooligan.

I'm pretty sure this strict NDA we've been talking about is a lie. If what we thought about their "radio silence" was true, WF would be steering completely clear of these tweets, but they're not.

If she was a fighter, her NDA would be much stricter, so my verdict is that she's going to be an Assist Trophy at best. (I REALLY Hope I'm wrong.)

NDA's can have any kind of freedom's or restrictions as the parties involved agree to. Nintendo might have said "liking is fine, bt no retweeting or commenting" the truth of the matter is we can't know what parameters Nintendo is holding WF to if Shantae is actually in the game.

We know they have liked a handful of posts that have some Smash relation, but we also know that any time they are directly asked about Smash they ignore it completely (while when asked similar questions with no Smash connection they give a corporate "nothing to announce" line)

Now we could assume that there is no NDA and they are specifically ignoring these questions (which must be annoying and would all end with one striaght "no" response) Or we can assume that there is an NDA that is allowing them to like things (not dissimilar to what we have seen Smash voice actors do in the past) but they simply aren't allowed to comment to the affirm in anyway in regards to her being in Smash.

Of the two, I think a slightly lenient NDA is far more likely than WF ignoring their fans when they aren't legally bound to.

The question is though, why would WayForward do this on their own free will, if there is no NDA?
They are known for being polite and forthcoming with their answers.
So why?

Sometimes it's better to ignore some things if you have trouble taking it.
Though, So long as you feel good in yourself and can keep your confidence even when some things are said that you might not like, you can be unshakeable, and nothing will phase you.

It also helps to be comfortable with any outcome (even if some are sometimes disappointing to go through)

On the bright side, you don't latch on to every leaker like they're the hand of God and suck them dry to the last drop. And while there are instances where you can be annoyingly preachy and/or down about Shantae's chances, as long as you're not trying to deliberately make the thread negative, you're always going to be better than Hollywood. Just keep you head up high and keep on believing in Shantae. Because if you can't, then you're spiritually starting to lose your way to something that shouldn't influence you all that much.
