------------------------------ WELCOME TO MU SMASH CLUB ------------------------------
This event is for the weekly meetings held by the Smash Club at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Each Wednesday we all meet in Benton Hall around 7 PM and smash until we can't smash anymore. Usually everyone files out after an hour to an hour and a half, but this time varies every meeting and from person to person.

As of now, we bring all our own hardware. We are currently looking for funding to buy and own university hardware (whether that be Wiis, GCs, N64s, controllers, games or CRTs), but for now anyone who can bring their smash materials along is encouraged to do so.

Typically we rent out two rooms in Benton to accommodate for the large amount of players in the community.

We also will almost always have every smash game and several controllers available. This means at least one TV with a crowd of people watching and/or playing SSB 64, Melee, vanilla Brawl, Project M, and sometimes a homebrew hacked version of Brawl.

------------------------------ THE RULES ------------------------------
Of course, we encourage courteous behavior in the community. We are pretty good at that.

As of yet, we have only played 4-player FFA in each game, with tournaments (1v1, teams, crew battles) sure to pop up in one way or another soon. Once we establish tournament rules for each game, we will edit this event to cement said rules. As of now, we have basic rules for 4-player FFA:
1) Winner stays in, all else switch out
2) If less than three are next in queue, next place will stay in (two waiting = first and second place stay in, etc.)
3) Winner can only stay for three rounds, then must switch out
4) No Johns.

Typically we play with no items, though if all players agree on a certain rule, they can of course then dictate their own rules. Since this isn't a tournament environment as of yet, game rules are not set. The only rules right now are about who switches out to ensure anyone who wants to play gets to play.

We are still building this community, but so far it is running smoothly. So if you live anywhere around Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, come on down on Wednesdays at 7 and join in on the hype!

I don't think anyone goes to these. Until a mod responds I'd assume the event is dead.
