Smash Journeyman
E2C 18 will be on Saturday, Sept. 26th at Top Cut Comics in Chicago and will feature Larry Lurr, K9, FallN & Rich Brown. The event will be streamed on twitch.tv/events2compete for Smash 4. The event page can also be found on https://www.facebook.com/events/1625996781009034/.
PLEASE BRING SETUPS. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE TO GET YOUR DISCOUNT FOR BRINGING A SETUP. Discounts will be given towards the end of each event to ensure we can use your setup for the majority of the event.
Free parking is available all day on all side streets around the venue except on Archer Ave. Please read signs and make sure you are allowed to park where you do.
Try to arrive 30 minutes before your first event starts to check in. If you arrive late, you may be dq'd if you are holding up the bracket.
Visitor fee is $5 for anyone not competing

Rules

Do not leave the venue at any time unless you have notified your pool captain or one of the TO's. We will be strict about dq'ing if we cannot find you for more than 10 minutes. Also, no refunds will be given after signing up so make sure you are committed before registering, otherwise select the "Pay at the door" option.
If you sign up for multiple events, you must work with the TO's and pool captains to make sure you are not holding up the bracket in any of your events. If you disappear or are free-playing/money-matching when you have 1 or more matches to play, you will be disqualified for the match that you are holding up. You will have priority over other players to make sure you play your matches asap on open setups to be able to get to your match in another event.
Sm4sh, PM, & Melee 1v1's players will be placed into bracket pools based on the number of setups and the turnout we have. If we have less than 32 players for Melee or PM, we will not run bracket pools. All bracket pools are double elimination. Top 4 will advance to the next round and players will start fresh without any losses.

Auction Event rules
If we decide to run an Auction Tournament, 16 characters for Smash 4 will be pulled out randomly from a hat. We will auction off the rights to play that character exclusively for the event. The event will be single elimination with random stages. Seeding will be based on the amount spent on a character. The highest amount will be the top seed and the lowest amount will be the bottom seed.

3 Stock 8 Minutes
Pyrosphere is the starter stage
Big Battlefield and Hyrule Castle are counter picks
The team with the most remaining stocks wins the game. In the case of a tie in stocks for both teams, both teams will play a 3v3 one stock match and the first team to lose a stock loses.
