Sent to Wii Menu Regardless

My buddies and I have recently downloaded project M. We followed all instructions (and mind you they were very easy), and we went to stage builder and the project M launcher screen showed up like how it's supposed to. When we click 'play' (after updating it of course), our Wii resets and brings us back to the Wii Menu. I have checked out the other help forums and it has told me to replace one of the files with an older version and so I did, but regardless of switching it, it just refuses to play. Occasionally Project M plays but only after fifty or so attempts.

What I normally recommend to do when the Project M launcher isn't working is to try loading via Gecko OS instead:

• Install GeckoOS to your SD card (download link, copy the boot.elf from /Gecko1931/HBC/Gecko1931/ to your SD card root)
• Load GeckoOS via the Stage Builder, as usual
• Boot game
