I have been thinking of this:
How would it be to have customizable (<--correctly spelled?) characters?
Such as you decide appearance, some examples:
Hat: Warrior Hat
Beard: None
Face: Kirby
etc.

And even better, you decide their skill, like this:
Neutral-B: Falcon Punch
Up-B: Teleport
etc.

To prevent over powered characters online I got 2 ideas:
1) Just block the characters
or
2)Have a power-meter that messures how powerfull the character is, you cant finish a character if the power-meter says he is overpowered.

Oh and if the Wii has a microphone, you could be the voice for your character and the narrator that says the character name.

What do you think of this idea? Improvements/Critique is welcome

Make them a selectable option in the rules and it's all fine.

Create a character has always turned out to be bad, in my experience.
Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur (sp?), etc.
I'd prefer not.

One major reason why that would be bad (aside from fairness):

People would be spending too much time trying to optimize their character and to make them as uber as possible and no time playing the original characters. It's Super Smash Bros. with Nintendo's all-stars, not...create your own character game. :dizzy:

Yes, I agree. It would add much more diversity to the game. Although there would probably be a better way to make sure your character isn't overpowered then the power meter. They would have to make it to where you would be able to play your character online only if you were playing against another created character. Most people on this forum probably won't support this idea though.
