I am NOT good at games.
Hello, welcome to this one guys post on the internet about self control.
(Laughs uncontrollable).
But seriously, whats the one thing that most people notice when some one is playing bad on a Smash game?
Control.
Control is a real element within the world of Smash, be it from the original to the Wii U.
When you in a situation that you don't want to be in, what do you almost always do?
Mash all those buttons.
This is a problem not with just others, but my self as well.
Blood rushes through you hands(and your but) to defeat who is fighting you, losing your sense of control.
Control is one of the best reasons why the top players are so good at what they do, they have a sense of control in themselves. They don't let time seem to pass quicker, they make it seem to go slower them selves so they can attack appropriately. You know when you are running or using a lot of energy time seems to go quick, while when you sit around time goes slower? That is the same idea here. You need to will yourself to make time slower, to think about what will happen next for a second, when you think its five.
This is a hard process to do. You naturally want to go all out, do flashy combos and what not, but it ends up getting you killed. This is something that happens over and over again, and by that point some do give up.
However, if you continue to keep trying over and over again, you will get better and better at going slower.
The slower you can make your time, the more you can react, the you can fight.
I am not good at playing this game, but there is one thing I noticed.
When things get bad, we mash are buttons, making things worse for us.
But you know how the good players win? By to going fast, by waiting, then striking at the right moment.
So ask your self, can you control you, no matter how bad the situation is, no matter how much you want to throw your controller around, can you relax and fight back?
Good luck, and happy Smashing.
